Geo targeting decides where your line can reach viewers. You set it on the Geo & Time step of the line item builder.
Choose a geo strategy
National: run nationwide without selecting individual areas. A good fit for large brands advertising across the US.
Local: choose the specific areas where your campaign runs. Most Jamloop campaigns are local. You can target:
ZIP codes
DMAs
States
Congressional districts (boundaries reflect the 120th Congress, 2025–2027)
You can select as many areas as you need and combine geo types in the same campaign, such as ZIP codes and DMAs. For ZIP codes, you can also paste a comma-separated list to add many at once.
Target a radius with the ZIP radius tool
To reach households around a location, such as a dealership, use the ZIP radius tool:
Enter the location's ZIP code.
Choose a radius, for example 30 miles.
Click Add ZIP codes to add every ZIP code inside that radius.
Hover over any ZIP code to see its population, median income, median age, home ownership, college percentage and county.
Switch between the flat view and the grouped view. The grouped view sorts ZIP codes by state, which helps when a radius crosses state lines. You can remove any ZIP codes you don't want to target.
Location-based targeting
You can also target viewers around one or more saved locations, such as stores, dealerships or restaurants. Add a location and choose a radius:
10 miles
20 miles
30 miles
Custom: enter your own radius in miles
This saves you from looking up and entering ZIP codes for each location.
Target areas vs. locations
A campaign can use either target areas or location radius targeting, not both. If you use location radius targeting, you can't also add ZIP codes, DMAs, states or congressional districts to the same campaign.
Adding locations
Locations must be added to the platform before you can target them:
Advertiser organizations: go to Organization > Locations.
Agency organizations: go to Advertisers > Select Advertiser > Locations.
Once added, a location is available to select in the campaign builder.
Next step: Set dayparting and frequency caps.
